PTA Candidates’ Forum April 2, election April 15

Six candidates will run for three open seats on the Board of Education for the April 15 election and budget vote.

Candidates Stuart Chaifetz, Constantine G. Cheston, Eric Goodwin, Seth Klukoff, Nancy E. Muldowney and Elliot A. Roth are running for three-year terms.

Incumbents Anne Einhorn, Susan Badaracco and Nancy O’Dowd will not be running for reelection.

The deadline for filing petitions for the election was Feb. 25. The district will hold a drawing for ballot positions Wednesday, March 5, at 4 p.m. in the Malberg Administration Building.

The Cherry Hill PTA will hold a Candidates’ Forum on April 2 at Rosa International Middle School at 7 p.m. so the community can learn more about the candidates.

Einhorn is the current board president and was first elected in 2002. Badaracco and O’Dowd were both elected in 2005.

The Sun will run a Meet the Candidates feature leading up to the election.

For more information about the election, including polling locations, voter registration information and information on the proposed 2008-2009 budget, residents can view the district Web site at chclc.org.
